Is it rude to ask people the name of the perfum they are wearing?

Thats after telling them how good they smell.Is it rude to ask people the name of the perfum they are wearing?
heck no! i take it as a compliment when people ask! Because that means they like the way i smell enough to go buy the same perfume!Is it rude to ask people the name of the perfum they are wearing?
Not at all ahaha I would be flattered
Don't ask Chuck Norris.

He roundhouse-kicked me in the face.
i wouldn't consider it rude at all
Major compliment!!! I love it when someone stops me and tells me I smell amazing and ask what scent it is.
no not at all
I am pleased you say you liked the scent someone was wearing. I often wonder what someone is wearing if it is quite awful and I want to avoid buying it.

It is not rude if you speak politely and say ';Excuse me, I could not help but admire the scent you are wearing. It is lovely. May I ask the name of it please?';

The person will no doubt be flattered and only to happy to share the information with you.

I have allergies so there are some perfumes that are wonderful, but some are definitely an irritant to my allergies. The worst I ever came across was coming up to the service counter in a bank and the smell was so strong it was overpowering.

I asked the young woman at the counter if it was hers, without being rude. She said, no, I think the previous customer that left about 5 minutes ago bathed in it.

Hope this answers your question.

Cheers

no not at all,,
Not at all! unless you are going to protest againest it lol. That is a compliment. It is goood that you think of that though. :)
I would not construed that as being rude.
Why would that be rude?
Of course not!

I do it all the time

It's a compliment

Not an insult
i don't think so, if you ask in a polite manner, It should come as a compliment! Remember perfumes can smell different on different people due to acid contents etc, so keep that in mind=D
not at all..
Nope-I would.x
totally not. i think it is a complement!
Hey Hunny_X

Nah Thats A Compliment =]

Unless They Are Not All There Then They Might Attack Lol_X
Hell naw i do it alot i cant help it! Id be ';damn you smell really good whats that perfume called?';
No that's not rude its a compliment.
it depends on your approach to the person your asking.,,
not rude at all.
Of course not, people do that all the time. It's a good ice breaker when you're trying to meet someone too.
not at all! I find that very flattering
No that's not rude. Just don't inhale all loud and obvious while invading their personal space and then ask them because that is creepy.
i dont find because it proves you actually like the perfume and you want to buy it
Nope.
No,not at all I personally have been flattered when someone has asked me.I looked at it as I must have picked out a great perfum if others like it!
no i think of it as a compliment :):)
no
Absolutley not, unless you are obvious about the fact that you DON'T like it. I just asked a lady before Christmas because my husband and I both liked it and she gave me a card for a discount at Estee Lauder. So glad I asked her!
It's not rude if you ask nicely....just say ';Oooh I love that smell. What is it? or Who does it?';

Just be polite...if you asked me I would be flattered!
